At the MC2 lounge in NYC crowds watched excitedly as dogs put their best paw forward and strutted down the catwalk. It might sound far-fetched but these pups were in it for a good cause- Paws For Style proceeds benefited the Humane Society, a leader in animal rescue. The dogs were walking, or pulling, their celebrity owners down the runway in matching custom couture from designers like Nina Ricci, Badgley Mischka and Emanuel Ungaro.
We love the custom Natori bustier gown created for the Dancing With the Stars and Broadway’s Burn the Floor’s Karina Smirnoff. And in true Natori fashion, our designers crafted a stunning dragon embroidered kimono. Although, it was a first to make a 4-legged version! Karina’s pit bull Randy looked handsome in his kimono next to his famous owner, who was careful to keep her 80 pound pup from pulling her off the runway!

I can’t stop watching Karina and Maxim on Dancing with the Stars! They’re fantastic and I can’t wait for the new season! It’s nice to see her and her pup supporting animals for the Humane Society.
