The Natori Fragrance collection is now available exclusively at Saks Fifth Avenue, a retailer that the Natori brand has shared a tremendous amount of history with over the past 32 years. As the very first retailer to carry the Natori brand, Saks was a natural choice to be the exclusive launching ground for the new Eau de Parfum. Here, Josie Natori explains her vision for the fragrance and the course it took to get there.
“Creating the Natori fragrance bottle was a wonderful journey; from the very beginning we envisioned a bottle that would arouse a sense of mystery and allure. We were inspired by the idea of a bowl of plums reflected against a black lacquer surface. This became the dark violet shade of the bottle.
Natori is known for our “East meets West” aesthetic so naturally we wanted to integrate that feeling into the design of the bottle. Our inspiration came from the lotus blossom, specifically the silhouette of petals unfolding. A lotus blossom grows upward from the depths of a pond toward the sunlight. As it climbs to the surface, it slowly blossoms into a beautiful flower. The process that the lotus takes to grow and blossom has truly paralleled our voyage in creating both this bottle and scent.” – Josie Natori

I saw the 5th Avenue windows at Saks and they’re gorgeous!
The 5th avenue floor looks amazing! All the salespeople in Natori kimonos!
Is this the same Natori scent that Avon used to sell years ago, that they discontinued?
