The streets of New York City have been invaded by…pianos! For the next two weeks, you can tickle the ivories all over the city at famous landmarks like Bryant Park, Herald Square and Lincoln Center. The pianos come from an art installation developed by British artist Luke Jerram. They’ve been touring the world for the past two years- first U.S. stop, New York City!
There are a total of 60 pianos on display but they won’t be around long, so go face the music and start playing…or simply listen along! As a concert pianist, we would love to see Josie Natori play- our location pick for Josie: the Central Park Bandshell.
If Josie does play, you should record it and post it on youtube for all to see. I would LOVE to see and hear her play (wearing something fabulous of course!).
